Woodquarter Mushroom Garden – Best practice bioeconomy example from Austria

“The Woodquarter Mushroom Garden has existed for 35 years. It is located in Mistelbach, a small town in the Waldviertel in the municipality of Großschönau.

It is run as a family business. Through many years of practical experience with the cultivation of a large number of edible mushrooms, we make a contribution to the preservation of cultivable types of mushrooms. It has always been important to us to establish mushrooms as a complementary element in the garden and thus to guarantee an almost year-round self-supply of tasty mushrooms. The further development of the Waldviertel mushroom garden is very important to us. We look forward to interested people who also want to experience this fascination with mushrooms.”
